"Parliament will run in a regular manner as previously. The political parties will forge an understanding through consultations," he said.

The speaker said parliament’s business would be run as in the past after discussing it in the meeting of the House Business Management Committee after the President summoned a parliament session.

Speaker Sapkota also said that the dispute among the political parties would not affect the parliamentary process. "I will facilitate the functioning of the House business smoothly. The parliamentary process does not stop due to the dispute of the political parties."

Responding to a question, he said it would not be appropriate to comment now on the topic of the appointments to various public bodies made by the government at a time when parliament remained dissolved as this topic was being debated in the court.
