BIRATNAGAR, Aug 27: Province 1 assembly meeting on Tuesday unanimously passed a bill relating to the formation and operation of Province level public service commission-2076.
NA passes Province Public Service Commission Bill
Minister for Internal Affairs and Law in the State, Hikmat Bahadur Karki, had presented a proposal in the meeting, seeking the passage of the bill. Minister Karki defended the bill, saying that it was brought as per the constitution. The province-level public service commission would have an inclusive appointment, ensuring at least one woman office bearer. Earlier, chairman of the Justice, Administration and Legislation Committee under the Assembly, Indramani Parajuli, had registered the bill in the parliament session.
Seven members had registered proposals, seeking amendment in the bill. Similarly, extensive discussion was held with committee members and experts on the bill relating to the public service commission, the Minister shared.
