Vice-Chairman Rawal is seen asking for votes with the UML General Convention representatives even as the party’s closed session is currently underway. This is set to dash the expectation of Chairman Oli to get re-elected unopposed.

Meanwhile, Chairman KP Sharma Oli has increased the number of office bearers by proposing a statute amendment in the central committee meeting on Friday. Although Oli had assured the post of party’s vice-chairman to Rawal, he rejected the proposal and has taken a stand to contest for the post.
