Regressive forces working to reverse achievements of people’s struggles: Dahal

KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The CPN (Masal) has united with the CPN (Maoist Centre). In his address to the gathering, Chairman Dahal stressed the need for unity among the communist forces to defeat ‘the foul play of regressive forces’ in the nation. “Regressive forces are trying to reverse the achievements of the people’s struggles.”

KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The CPN (Masal) has united with the CPN (Maoist Centre).   



At a unity assembly organized on Friday, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN (Masal) Coordinator Lokendra Lamsal announced the unification between the two parties. 


In his address to the gathering, Chairman Dahal stressed the need for unity among the communist forces to defeat ‘the foul play of regressive forces’ in the nation. “Regressive forces are trying to reverse the achievements of the people’s struggles.”

Conspiracies are being hatched to overturn the republic, Dahal said, adding that the feudalistic forces which were defeated by the people’s movement are working toward regression,” he said.   


 “Parties in favor of progression and revolutionary and leftist forces are being united,” he said, adding that the achievements of the people’s sacrifices would never be allowed to be reversed. 


 “We cannot afford to be confident that the historic accomplishments will remain safe,” Dahal said, adding that parties in favor of progression and revolutionary and leftist forces have to further unite to counter ‘the conspiracies against the historic achievements’.  


Similarly, CPN (Masal) coordinator Lamsal said both parties’ objective is to work for the establishment of scientific socialism in the country.
