Rhinoceros found dead in CNP

CHITWAN, Oct 12: A lifeless rhinoceros was discovered within the borders of the Chitwan National Park (CNP), marking the fifth such occurrence this fiscal year.

CHITWAN, Oct 12: A lifeless rhinoceros was discovered within the borders of the Chitwan National Park (CNP), marking the fifth such occurrence this fiscal year.



The dead rhinoceros, estimated to be around 25 years of age, was identified as a female. The incident took place in the vicinity of the Khoriya estuary area of the national park.

According to Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, the park's information officer, the rhinoceros's horn and hooves remain intact, indicating that the animal's death was likely a result of combat with another rhinoceros.
