Hotels, restaurants, adventure-sports operators announce 30% off for a week
SINDHUPALCHOWK, Dec 30: Tourism entrepreneurs of the district have announced 30% discount on their services for a week starting January 1 on the occasion of Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020 campaign.
"Hotels and restaurants have announced to provide 30% discount on food and accommodation," Krishna Gopal Tamang, coordinator of district level organizing committee of VNY 2020 campaign, said. "Responding to hoteliers and restaurateurs, canyoning, bungee and rafting operators have also announced 30% discount to tourists for a week."

According to Tamang, tourists will get discount on rafting, bungee jump, canyoning and other adventurous sports activities offered in Bhotekoshi River and surrounding areas.
"Both domestic and international tourists can avail the discount," Tamang told Republica.
Sindhupalchowk district is famous for adventurous sport activities like rafting, bungee jump and canyoning. Thousands of domestic and international tourists visit the district to experience adventurous tourism. More than a dozen resorts on the banks of Bhotekoshi River from Sukute to Tatopani provide rafting services to tourists.
Adventure packages are available from Rs 3,500 to Rs 5,000 depending on accommodation used. The package is inclusive of transportation to and from Kathmandu, breakfast, lunch, dinner and accommodation. Tourists can get 30% discount on this tariff for a week from January 1.
The district is also famous for cuisines prepared from fish harvested from Sunkoshi, Bhotekoshi, Melamchi, Indrawati and Brahamayani rivers. The district is also becoming popular among tourists for Japanese Rainbow Trout delicacies.
Destinations like Bhotechaur, also known as mini-Ilam, Helambu, Melamchi, Barhabise, Tatopani, Panchpokhari, Bhairavkunda, Jugal, and Nepemasal, among others, are popular among tourists. The district is also home to religious sites like Gaurati Bhimeshwar, Palchowk Bhagwati, Tauthali and Ugrachandi.
“We will try our level best to attract as much tourist as possible in the district in during Visit Nepal Year campaign,” Tamang said. According to him, resorts on the banks of Bhotekoshi River will also showcase cultural performance and traditional dances for a week.
