“If you dream of making it to the national team ignoring your studies, it is just a fantasy. You’d better practice cricket for a couple of hours a day instead of giving up studies and going to the cricket pitch round the clock,” Khadka added.

On a different note, Khadka expressed his serious concerns over poor infrastructures and lack of sound cricketing organization. However, he said Nepal would soon be playing more international tournaments as concerned stakeholders are paying attention to the development of physical infrastructures for the same.

In the training session organized by Star Cricket Academy, cricketer Khadka shared some useful tips and his experience on batting and bowling both to the school cricketers from twenty local schools.

Ranjit Maurya and Abishkhar Gyawali duos were awarded five thousand each, who had earlier bowled Khadka out in one of the events named ‘Bowl to Paras Khadka’. Participants got the cricket bats signed by Khadka.
