UDAYAPUR, Sept 20: A child has died after he was hit by a truck on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Roshan Karki, 12, of Triyuga municipality-7 of the district.
The sand loaded truck, Na 1 Ka 7907, hit the child near Kauwai along the Gaighat-Mukurchi road section at 7 PM.

The child was severely injured and was receiving treatment at the local primary clinic however, he was later referred to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan. The child died at 9 PM on the way to Dharan informed District Police Office, Udayapur.
The truck driver is under the police custody said SP Chandra Dev Rai.
The body of the deceased has been taken to the district hospital for the postmortem.
