Two killed as bus hits motorcycle

RAJBIRAJ, Nov 11: Two persons were killed in an accident at Baramjhiya in Kanchanrup Municipality of Saptari along the East-West Highway Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Raju Kumar Tiwari, a resident of Baluwa-3, Supaul district in Bihar state of India.

RAJBIRAJ, Nov 11: Two persons were killed in an accident at Baramjhiya in Kanchanrup Municipality of Saptari along the East-West Highway Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Raju Kumar Tiwari, a resident of Baluwa-3, Supaul district in Bihar state of India.



The bus (Ga 1 Kha 9642) heading toward west hit a motorcycle with the number plate BR 36 R 8173 which Tiwari was riding.

He succumbed to his injuries on the way to Biratnagar for treatment, police said. Similarly, another 30-31-year-old man died on the way to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj, according to the District Police Office.


Similarly, the bus also ended up hitting a pedestrian- Rohan Prasad Gupta, 19, of Saptari Kanchanrup Municipality-1, Baramjhiya resulting in his broken leg. The injured was rushed to Biratnagar for further treatment, according to police. The bus and motorcycle were taken under control by the Area Police Office, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Kafle.
