JAJARKOT, May 18: CPN-UML candidate Lal Bahadur Mahatara has been elected as mayor of Chhedagad Municipality . He secured 5, 1 36 votes.
His closest rival Nepali Congress’s Ratna Bahadur Khadka got 4, 347 votes.

Similarly, UML candidate Sarita Oli has secured 5, 147 votes to become deputy mayor while her immediate contender Reshma Sahi got 4, 260 votes.
Of the total 16, 431 votes, 13, 577 votes had been cast in the local level elections on May 14.
