Violence against women cannot be forgiven: PM

KATHMANDU, May 30: On the occasion of the third National Women’s Rights Day, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that violence against women under any circumstances cannot be forgiven.

KATHMANDU, May 30: On the occasion of the third National Women’s Rights Day, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that violence against women under any circumstances cannot be forgiven. On Sunday, PM KP Oli also said that the rights and equality for women is necessary not only for women but also for the human community.



“Not only women but also men should be concerned about the rights of women, and it is necessary for them to raise their voice,” he said. “The protest of women will not be successful unless men are supportive,” he added.

Moreover, he said that women themselves should be positive toward each other. “In certain cases, women have been found to be responsible for violence against other women,” he said, “Women should have affection and respect for each other,” he added.
