"The attempt to ignore the constitution and national interests for the sake of political interests has failed. Politically, it will be controversial, but this decision of President Bidya Bhandari will be praised by history. It is known that even King Birendra had refused to put the royal seal on the Citizenship Bill, which is against the national interest. The decision of the President not to certify the Citizenship Bill, which has not been amended in accordance with the Constitution, regarding citizenship with territorial identity, the implementation of women's gender rights, and marital citizenship, is natural. The President's decision is in accordance with the national interest.”
