CHITWAN, June 24: A woman was killed when a truck (Na 3 Kha 5474) collided head-on with a motorcycle (Na 23 Pa 7873) of which she was a pillion rider at Bharatpur Sub Metropolitan City-9 in Chitwan today morning.
Sita Kandel, 45, of Bharatpur Sub Metropolis-8 died on the spot, police said. Kandel was newly elected President of Kandel Nepal Women Association, Bharatpur Sub Metropolitan City-8.

Her husband Tulsiram, 53, who was riding the motorcycle when the accident occurred, was seriously injured.
Tulsiram is receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College, Chitwan, police said. Meanwhile, police have taken the driver and the truck under control. RSS
