BHAKTAPUR, Oct 6: Indira Bijukche,49, a resident of Bhaktapur municipality-5 died after being hit by a Tipper (Ba.34Pa.6312) at Lokanthali on Thursday.
The accident took place as the speeding tipper hit a scooter (Ba.4Kha. 3020) that she was pillion riding with her husband Rajman,55, who was injured in the incident. Rajman is undergoing treatment at the Nagarik hospital in Gatthaghar, DSP at the Metropolitan Police Circle Shyam Babu Oliya said.
The tipper driver, Shiva Bhujel of Manthali-9, Ramechap, who had fled the scene of the accident, was taken into custody by police from Koteswar. Soon after the accident, an agitated crowd vandalized the tipper and tried to set it on fire leading to a clash between them and police. The situation
